Wendell K Jones has been preparing himself all of his life through spiritual grounding in Christ, entrepreneurial endeavors and leadership development to serve District 25 effectively in the House of Representatives.
Cost of Living
Working families are feeling the strain of rising costs for groceries, housing, healthcare, and childcare. Too many people are working hard but finding it harder to get ahead. We need to lower everyday costs by strengthening competition, investing in good-paying jobs, reducing healthcare and prescription drug expenses, and providing tax relief for middle-class families. Our economy works best when people can afford the basics, save for the future, and have confidence that hard work will lead to opportunity and security.
Affordable Housing
Every hardworking family deserves a safe, affordable place to call home. Yet too many people are being priced out of their communities by rising rents and housing costs. We need to expand the supply of affordable housing, invest in first-time homebuyer opportunities, and work with local governments to reduce barriers that prevent new homes from being built. By making housing more accessible and affordable, we can strengthen families, support economic growth, and ensure that everyone has a fair shot at building a stable future.
Voting Rights
Republicans are consistently passing legislation that aids them in winning elections while destroying the democratic belief of “one man, one vote.”
Safe Communities
Every family deserves to feel safe in their neighborhood, at their workplace, and in their children’s schools. Building safer communities means supporting effective law enforcement, investing in crime prevention programs, addressing mental health challenges, and creating opportunities for young people to succeed. We can reduce crime while strengthening trust between communities and public safety professionals. By working together and focusing on practical solutions, we can create neighborhoods where everyone feels secure and has the opportunity to thrive.
Healthcare
Healthcare should be affordable, accessible, and reliable for every family. Too many Americans are struggling with high insurance premiums, rising prescription drug costs, and difficulty finding the care they need. We must lower healthcare costs, protect access to coverage, expand mental health services, and ensure that no one has to choose between their health and their financial security. By making healthcare more affordable and effective, we can help families live healthier lives and build stronger communities.
